Symphonic band is also known as concert band. Concert band was created during the 19th century
Marching Band
Marching band has been around for a very long time. The first ever record of a marching band dates back to 476 AD.
Jazz Band
Jazz band is reletevly one of the newer types of bands since it started in 1915.
Wind Ensemble
Is more of woodwind heavy other than symphonic band which has way more percussion.
Orchestra
An orchestra uses string instrements like violin, viola, and chello. Other than that it is pretty much the same as a symphonic band.
